Privacy Policy

Privacy Policy
The Elk Creek Crossing Homeowners Association and the website Administrator are committed to protecting the privacy of visitors, members and volunteers. We have established this Privacy Policy to explain what information we collect through our website and how it is used, as well as disclose protections of personal information.

In this policy, “ADMIN” refers to the administrator consultant, the HOA, board members, volunteers, past and future.

ADMIN does not sell or rent member or website visitor information under any circumstances, and we do not share member or visitor information without prior consent except as compelled by law or to report alleged violations of law. This restriction applies to members who subscribe to this website, comment on a page or post, send an email, or fill out a contact form.

Information Gathered

Cookies: We do not use ID cookies on this site.

Voluntarily Submitted Information
ADMIN collects and retains information you voluntarily submit to us. It is up to you whether to submit information to us, and how much information to provide. If you choose to complete a contact form, we may ask for identifying information such as your name, email address, mailing address and phone number, and will retain that information.

We may ask for additional personal information when you provide feedback or comments, or otherwise communicate with us.

EMailing List
If you choose to subscribe to Elk Creek Crossing News to Use, our free electronic newsletter, we may collect your name, email address, and IP address.

Use of Information

In general, ADMIN uses the information provided by you to further its mission, including to respond to questions, problem-solve, or send email notifications to subscribers.

Other activities: We may run surveys, contests, or similar activities through this site. Such information will be used for the purposes for which it was collected.  We also may look at technical information to diagnose problems with or consider improvements to our servers or related technologies.

Third-Party Services and APIs

This site also provides links to or interacts with a wide variety of third-party websites, including interactive links to sites like social media, mapping services, or video hosting websites, often via application programming interfaces (APIs). We are not responsible for, and do not have any control over, the privacy practices or the content of such third parties.

We encourage users to read the privacy policies of any website visited via links from or interactions with this site.

Disclosure of Your Information

While the ADMIN of this site endeavors to provide the highest level of protection for your information, we may disclose personally identifiable information about you to third parties in limited circumstances, including: (1) with your consent; or (2) when we have a good faith belief it is required by law, such as pursuant to a subpoena or other judicial or administrative order, or (3) to report alleged violations of law.

If we are required by law to disclose the information that you have submitted, we may attempt to provide you with prior notice (unless we are prohibited, or doing so would be futile) that a request for your information has been made to give you an opportunity for a disclosure objection. We may contact you by email, phone or postal mail. If you do not challenge the disclosure request, we may be legally required to turn over your information.

In addition, we will independently object to requests for access to information about users of our site that we believe to be improper.

Updating or Removing Your Information

You may choose to correct, update, access, or delete information you have submitted to us by completing the below contact form.

Your consent to our use of your information is very important to us. If you would like to withdraw your consent to receive email notifications, you may complete this contact form to unsubscribe.

Indemnification of Prior Administrator

If a website visitor fails to receive a reply to any question sent via contact form within a reasonable time frame, due to a number of potential factors, please attempt to send an email to the third party property management company under current contract with the Elk Creek Crossing Homeowners Association.

If you have unsubscribed to this website, and continue to receive email notices of posts, please contact the third party property management under contract to confirm you have withdrawn consent, so appropriate steps can be made by the ADMIN.

ADMIN has turned on HTTPS, attempts to use complex passwords/usernames, and for security, depends on “in the box” measures WordPress provides for free hosting accounts such as this website.

Although we make good faith efforts to store information collected by ADMIN in a secure operating environment, we cannot guarantee complete security.

Changes to Our Policies

This Privacy Policy may change from time to time. If we make any substantive changes to our policies, we will post notices of changes on this page.
