Curb Chazzerai

(Omaha, NE)  — New penalties for Omaha homeowners who leave garbage cans at the curb past 10 a.m. the day after pick up, excluding holidays and weather delays. The Omaha City Council Tuesday unanimously changed the city trash collection law, allowing for $100 first-time offender penalities and up to $500 for each additional infraction, if you leave an empty trash bin at the curb longer than allowed, provided someone reports you, and the city enforces the law.

Trash pick up within Elk Creek Crossing Omaha is on Monday’s. Under the law, you may leave your garbage cans, bags and recyclables at the curb at 5 p.m. Sunday night, and haul it back into the garage by 10 a.m. Tuesday. Again, holidays & weather delays extend the time frame.
